Jag är lite upptagen just nu så jag nöjer mig med att göra copy paste från en fil som jag just fick av Shaul Arieli (igen), med rubriken ”Naturlig tillväxt eller tillväxt genom inflyttning”. Argumenteringen vänder sig främst till den israeliska högern apropå regeringens vägran att frysa bosättningarna eftersom man måste få plats för ”naturlig tillväxt”.

Main findings
- All Israeli governments established settlements in West Bank areas.
- During the first 15 years, the Israeli government prioritized populating east Jerusalem with Jews.
- Since 2001, unauthorized outposts have replaced the establishment of new settlements.
- A third of the Israelis living in the West Bank and Gaza Strip moved there prior to signing the Oslo Accords (25 years), another third during the Oslo Accords period (8 years), and another third after it was frozen (8 years)!!!
- 55% of the Israelis living in east Jerusalem moved there before signing the Oslo Accords and the rest during the Oslo Accords period or after it was frozen!!!
- Natural growth for Jewish population is 1.6%.
- The size of an average family in Israel is 3.1 persons.
[1] In the summer of 2005, 21 settlements were evacuated from the Gaza Strip and the northern West Bank.
